Trey and Tina Robertson like to say the property found them. They first discovered the Paso Robles wine region during their many family trips to Lake Nacimiento. When the weather was too cold for boating, they would pack up their three boys and dogs and explore the West Side wineries. They fell in love with the wines, the oak-studded hills and the family-friendly wineries. For years they searched without success for a family ranch where they could create a small hobby vineyard. When they first discovered the Santa Rita Creek property, they thought it was way too big and only suitable for dry-farming hay. But they fell in love with the meandering creek, the cool evening breeze from the ocean, the abundant wildlife, and indescribable magic light that pours across the vineyard after sunrise and before sunset. After hiring a vineyard consultant and investigating the suitability of the property, they were thrilled to learn that the soil and climate are uniquely suited to grow premium wine grapes. In 2021 the Robertsons embarked on the development of the 90 acre vineyard, which includes both Rhone and Bordeaux varietals.
As good stewards of this land, we employ sustainable farming practices, which include planting cover crops, reducing tillage, applying integrated pest management, integrating livestock for weed control and creating and managing wildlife corridors to promote biodiversity. We are proud to be a SIP Certified vineyard!
We are proud to grow premium grapes for some of Paso Robles' premier wineries, including DAOU Vineyards, Teeter-Totter Wines, Nenow Family Wines and ONX Wines.
